Hello,
Windows Vista comes with basic drivers so that you can access your mobile device as a media drive, as you mentioned.
In order to have syncing capabilities such as with Outlook, you need to install Windows Mobile Device Centre (the new Active Sync, if you have used that before).
Go here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/devicecenter.mspx
Hope that helps.
I have a Motorola Q and Vista Ultimate. Everytime I try to plug my Q into my computer, Vista thinks its a media storage device and attempts to sync music from Windows Media Player. I cannot find a way to setup a partnership so it actually syncs with MS Outlook 2007 instead of just being a stupid MP3 player on here. Has anyone been able to successfully setup a partnertship that syncs with Outlook on Vista?
