Look up slipstick.com for such sync discussions. In closing, the rules are backed up another way. Try OL2000 BACKUP RULES in google to find the article from Microsoft.
Bob
I am using Outlook 2003 on two different PCs and wish to synchronize my data between the laptop and desktop. I am also Hotsynching with my T3 Palm using Beyond Contacts.
I have managed to keep the Palm synchronized but trying to keep my email folders and other Outlook data synchronized has been a trial. I tried copying the huge PST file (same name) but I often have to force Outlook 2003 to accept the new data file thru removing and then adding data files. Even then, I usually lose my "Rules and Alerts".
I read in your archives about the Easy2Sync program. Has anyone used it? Is there another (free) method to try before I purchase the software? Is there better software?
Thanks.
