Question

sync itunes to iphone wireless

Oct 26, 2011 1:33AM PDT

I have AVG internet security Paid Version, which I don't know why I Pay, when they now changed their Customer Service. You can no longer email them, you have to live Chat or Phone, which is overseas, and cannot understand. ugh. they only give you real general help anymore, unless you want to PAY for Help. Why am I paying for the program then?? ANYWAY, Question is... does anyone know what should be changed in AVG firewall to unblock communication between my iTunes and iPhone wireless. When I DISABLE the Firewall all works fine, so I know it is not my router. But as soon as the Firewall is enabled, it cannot find the iPhone. so it is useless to Sync unwired. very frustrating. I know there has to be away to allow by adding or changing settings... I just don't know what they would be?

Hello DianeL59,

I would like to ask you for the email identifier from received automatic reply after successful sending of AVG Firewall Diagnostic.

In the meantime, could you please check this AVG Forums post about similar situation.

Thank you

I sent the attached file from those steps and filled in the problem... and sent. I never received an automatic reply???

I did follow your link to the forum and there was a post there that had me change the firewall rule with port numbers... and SO FAR... all seems to be finally working.

I will give it few days of shutting down and restarting to verify that it stays corrected and continues to work.

Thank You
