sync from iPod to computer

I tried irip and it's a no go. I get a message, that also occurs when opening iTunes that says "registry settings used by iTunes for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes"

I uninstalled Roxio, and iTunes, then reinstalled iTunes and get the same message.

Followed those instructions, deleting, uninstallin all apple components, then reinstalled iTunes and get the same message.

Back to Apple.

The missing registry entries is not a good thing. I don't expect any app to work until that is resolved.

I don't know why but I continue to get messages about the registry, but iTunes works. I did find a program called iExplorer that allows my to "backward" sync my iPod to another computer.
