Donna,

Not found with Win98 and Norton 2002. Is it suppose to find this update?

William,

NAV 2003 (installed in Win2k) didn't get it either. Could be for NAV 2004 only. Hoping for inputs from NAV 2004 users (whether they got it too or not). Not sure if it should be detected and installed for other versions. I couldn't find update or patch info in Symantec site for the 'Log File Fix - LogEvents' that I got yesterday.

Is LiveUpdate supposed to pick up this update?
I am running NAV2004 with XP Home.
Last week I started getting LU-1803 errors and reinstalled NAV2004 from scratch. I don't think it is working right since then. I tried to manually download LU Version 2.0.39 from their site for days now and keep getting page not found.
I'm sorry I bought NAV2004. It's been nothing but trouble.

The solutions provided by Symantec for LU-1803 error is not reinstall LU without fixing the current version that is installed in your system.

Click the above link Skip solution #1 as you don't use earlier version of LU. I think you shouldn't install the latest version of LU without fixing the current LU settings by following their solution #2 to delete Settings.Liveupdate and rerunning LiveUpdate. Once done, reinstall LiveUpdate. Try running LU to see if it solved the issue LU-1803. If it does not, submitting your Log File using he Symantec Automated Support Assistant.

Note: The Symantec Automated Support Assistant is a diagnostic utility that you can download and run on your computer to assist in finding and helping to correct common support issues with Symantec products. The utility is a Windows program that uses ActiveX technology to integrate with the Support Web site. Symantec product information found by the utility is sent securely to Symantec for analysis. No personal information is ever accessed. This utility is read-only, and no part of your system can be altered by it.

This process uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to transmit the collected product information data. SSL uses a private key to encrypt data transferred over the SSL connection. You can verify that your transmission is secure by looking for a closed padlock icon in the bottom bar of your browser window or by verifying that the address of the displayed page begins with https.

Donna,

I tried all the "fixes" and they didn't work. That's why I re-installed NAV2004 from scratch.

William,

Yes, I've been follow these threads, too. That's why I said I was sorry I upgraded to NAV2004. I used NAV for years and was satisfied. This 2004 is nothing but problems. I'm not even sure it is working!
