Symantec Antivirus 10.0

May 23, 2005 5:39AM PDT

I am upgrading our symantec antivirus from v9.0 to v10.0. When installing on a P3/550, 256 ram, 38 gb hard drive, XP operating system, which also runs Office 2000, it continually asks me for the Office 2000 installation cds. Any ideas why?

It's a programming gaffe. But giving it the CD will...

It is a gaffe of a sorts. When the software you mentioned installs, it will integrate into the Office to stop script virus in Word and such. To do this, it will integrate in, then Office will need a small repair.

This is one reason I keep copies of my original CDs close to the machine and on the road.

Thanks, I actually have used the install cd for office 2000, I was hoping for a fix that did not require the install cd, but if it's required I can handle that too!

Thanks again
