Symantec 10.1 - unmanaged to managed

i am installing software on a xp pro platform that will be put on a network at a later date but is not connected nor can it be connected to a network at this time. When I try to install symantec 10.1 as managed it won't let me put the server name in that manages the pc. so i end up selecting unmanaged and installing the software. does anyone know if there is a way to configure this pc off a network and still set it up as managed or maybe set it up as unmanaged and at a later date change the unmanaged option to managed? i can't find a way to do that.
