Sylvania SMPK4038B software question

Mar 23, 2011 4:43PM PDT

I have a HP s5414y 4gig PC. I bought a Sylvania SMPK4038B MP3 player at a closeout sale. Booklet says it needs Windows Vista or XP. I have Windows 7. After I finally got 3" disc in vertical disc drive nothing happened. I was able to get the folders onto my drive and found and clicked on an 'application' file that made it look like something was happening but did nothing. Start Menu search shows nothing. How does one get a slightly obsolete program to run. I don't need a driver but would like the end user toolbox Thanks.
