Switching servers with wireless

Aug 3, 2004 12:12AM PDT

For the past week or so my laptop which has wireless internet has continually been switching between available wireless networks. We use the linksys and that is all that has ever worked on my computer. I assume the rest of these networks are those established on neighbors computers whose singals are stronger then our own. However the network that allows me to access the internet is our network linksys.

I live in a city with a dense population of people.

I realize this is probably a common problem but I was wondering if there was anything we could do to maintain access to our network and our network only without the constant switching.

Any help would be greatley appreciated!

Linksys needs to fix this.

The current version of Linksys drivers are "too friendly" about this. It would be nice if they had a way to check off a "don't use anything but these networks" option.
