I haven't done this one but done similar. Your main problem will the mounting posts plus rear opening line-up and have a PSU capable&compatible of handling all of the goodies. You need at least 2(any useful) "screw" mounting posts to keep the mtrbd. from wandering. All the others can use plastic posts(you may need to get)to keep from touching metal and/or level mounting. If there an unused metal post(possible short area, if under mtrbd.), it has to be removed, period. The process is straight-forward but use common sense and if it doesn't work for some reason, try to shoe it in, but be careful. There's a good chance it will work. If it doesn't fall back on a "generic case" instead that really handles your needs.
I have a Dell Dimension 3000 PC. I have added a second hard drive and other additions to it and use it as a home workgroup server. I am concerned about heat build up inside the 3000's small case. I have an old Dell 8100 sitting in the closet with no OS on it. I wanted to know how hard it would be to transfer all the components of my 3000 in to the 8100. I want completely swap the cases and use the larger case of the 8100 which is more suited to being upgraded than the 3000 is. Thanks.
