I run three OSs on one of my PCs. The rig is set up this way more as a test box than a real workstation so I can use it for some support work I do. I keep each OS on a separate disk and just switch through the BIOS. It's just easier that way if you have space of multiple hard drives. Each OS respects the other's space.
Just puchased a new HP Pavillion and am trying to run two operating systems on it (SuSE and XP). Was told by the tech that this was no problem and that Partition Magic 8.0 was the way to go. Loaded XP, then PM 8.0 and ran "install new operating system." Followed directions and loaded SuSE. Worked fine but the problem is now SuSE boots automatically when I turn the computer on and there's no way to get back to XP. Friend suggested I clear the disk, reinstall XP and PM 8.0 and try again. Same thing. Have read through the manuals (XP, SuSE and PM 8.0) with no luck. I know that PM 8.0 has a utility called "Boot Magic" and that sounds like what I need. Problem is I can't get to it in XP to use it. Am sure this is a very obvious solution but it's sure beyond me at this point. Any advice?
