Question

Switching between audio outputs on my TV?

Apr 23, 2018 1:22PM PDT

Hi. I have a Samsung UE55F6400 TV. I bought Panasonic RP-WF830E-K wireless headphones for it, the dock connects with a 3.5mm jack.

When the dock is connected, I can't get the TV's speakers to output any audio. I would like to be able to switch between the speakers and the headphones at will, without having to unplug the jack. Any help would be much appreciated.

Answer
This is true for about all models.

Nothing broke here. The usual fix is to use that jack and an Y splitter to run the audio to your new headphones and then to some soundbar.

Again, for most TVs the internal speakers do mute when you use that jack.

Thanks for the reply but... wow. I'm supposed to buy more equipment because they didn't include such a basic quality of life feature. Really disappointing.
