.....a company that sells it products directly to the end user. There are no dealers or discount outlets execpt for their own B-stock. I see one there for $100 off.

SVS are great people to deal with. Call or e-mail them. You will most likely hear directly from one of the two owners, Tom and Ron. They really understand the term ''customer service.'' Check out their entire website, lots of information there.
This system would run in, my opinion, in the $1500-$2000 range in a comparable performing package in a local dealer's store.
For an alternative 5.1 system look here and try 5 of the HB-1's and the STF-2 sub (silver) for about $979. HSU sells directly to the consumer also.

The only way to go cheaper that I know of but not with quite as good speakers(main 5) is to match the HSU SFT-2 or STF-3 sub with JBL Northridge speakers from B&H Photo and Video for about $677-$777. JBL EC25 for center and 4 JBL E20's (or 2ea E30 for left and right).
The HSU and SVS subs are both outstanding in performance.

Does anyone have any sites that would have SVS products that would be a little cheaper??? Or anything comparable for less clams???
