svchost.exe win32 error HELP!!!! HELP!!!!!

hi,
I am totaly freaking out right now I downloaded a toshiba update and an explorer update and since I did that my pc shows the following error:
" svchost.exe - Application error. The instruction at "0x745f2780" refrenced memory at 0x00000000". The memory could not be " read".
click OK or click cancel to debug
WHAT SHOULD I DO????????????????
The second error message is
" generic host process for win32 service"
and if I look in the error report it shows : szAppName: svchost.exe .......

whats wrong with my pc?
I tried to google an answer but the olny things that pop up are repair programs like registryfix or regcure are this programs any good

please anybody help me

Yorkiegirl,

I'd start with a System Restore back to before the installation of these two updates. Depending on the things you downloaded (all official Windows updates do) they might even have their own uninstall, and that would be even better.

Can you tell more on what exactly you downloaded?

hi

my computer freezes when ever I try a system restore....
anything else I could do?

And from where?

There might be other mechanisms to go back (if these updates are the cause of the problem, which isn't sure to me, at the moment) but that really depends on what these updates are.

Did You Try Uninstalling The Updates?

Per Kees' previous instructions, did you look in the Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs section? If the specific update is listed there, try uninstalling them.
