It all depends on what the machine is doing. Care to fill us in?

I have all 7 of those running when I'm not doing anything unless my Spyware, Virus, or Trojan programs use that.
Automatic updaters can use such, etc.
Open a command window and type this.
tasklist /svc
(shows the active associated services... )

When you post, a forum note asks for small details such as what OS, etc.
Maybe you have XP HOME, but I can't guess.
Here's another tasklist program.

"Maybe you have XP HOME, but I can't guess",No need to guess,it's in my profile.
When I type "tasklist /svc" in cmd, this is the results.

XP Home does not have the tasklist.exe utility while XP Pro does. The link he offered allows anyone running XP Home to download and make use of the tasklist command.
The original poster didn't follow the instructions in RED just above where he typed his subject line:
Note: If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
This is one of the good reasons to mention the installed OS (including Service Pack) because not all versions are created equal.
This is normal since svchost.exe means service host.
Check this LINK and note the many svchost.exe running in task manager.
The problem lies in the spelling and upper case,"scvhost.exe".It should be "svchost.exe".
