Svchost.exe

svchost.exe
well this is somethimg thats in my taskmanager's progress area and i suspect it downloads somethimg on my pc as soon as i connect it to the internet as something in its memory start moving and also my data transfer rate starts moving.there are two svchost.exe displayed in this area.
plz help how to remove it
i have tried avg and nortan 2003 system works but to no avail so plz help me in the manner and regard.

that is a much misunderstood service.

Follow this link and download (read about it first) System Internal's free Process Explorer
http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/ProcessExplorer.html

you can use it to check each instance of Svchost.exe as well as every other running process. Very handy to understand what is going on inside that computer.
