Suspected Corruption of somekind HP desktop running XP
All of a sudden some graphic objects do not display. I get the little multicolored square in the upper left corner of a blank screen or section of an internet page...
Outlook express takes 3 or 4 tries to load
I get run time errors occasionally
I can load a graphics program (MicroSoft Digital Image Pro 10) but if I try to create a fram or matt or calendar I get the run time error
When I try to insert a picture into an outlook express
it gives me an error saying that funtion is not supported
I can not get into help
I cannot do a system restore
When I try to down load Active-x I get a screen saying I have to access an inforrmation bar in internet explorer and it is not there...
Do I have to just start over somehow????

Dave, what do you use
by MarkFlax Forum moderator / January 7, 2006 6:58 PM PST

to protect yourself from hackers, viruses and spyware?

You need;

a firewall, what do you use?
an anti-virus application, is yours up to date?
two or three anti-spyware applications. What have you got?

Also, is your Windows OS up to date? Have you applied the latest critical windows patch to protect against the new wmf exploit?
