SuSE 10.0 and disk size

Oct 5, 2005 3:21AM PDT

Finished my linux box and curious bout how large a partition SuSe can work with and which file format.
Newbie so not real familiar with eft1,eft2 or reiser. Have 160 gig Maxtor to use on the system and wonder how to set up the disk to install the new unix system. No dual boot as this will be a total Linux system. Please be patient with me, I have read Linux for non-geeks and Spring into Linux but they didn't seem to help much.
Thank you all in advance.

But when I installed 9.2 last time, I accepted the Suse installer's suggestions. Hint: I pressed the return key during the install a lot.

I recently installed Suse 9.3
Like Bob said I pressed the return key a lot
It made its own partitions when installing
Quite easy to install

Good Luck

Which File System?

Which file system did you install on your drives if I might ask and would you have chosen a different approach if re-doing it?

No particular reason. It offered and I pressed return.

-> Some will research this for a few months. I'm all ears as to why some do that.
