Each product could solve this in its own way. A common method today is for the cameras to put the video and snaps up on some cloud which you use their custom app to see what's going on.
Since how it works changes with the products, I can't answer.
Hello,
I am a real novice in this field, I mean wireless 3g, 4g, WIFI.
I got a wireless video camera from a friend. It has two slots: SIM and Memory card.
After browsing the relevant sites, there is something that it is unclear to me:
I found several similar cameras, and all of them use WIFI, but also require a SIM card. As a novice, I don't understand: both of them are required for operating the camera? If I buy a SIM card, is it enough to call the SIM's number in order to watch the camera's transmissions, even without any WIFI router around?
Thank you,
