Surround sound speakers not working

Trying to connect ht-j4500 to swa 7000. Blue blinking light on swa 7000 but no sound from surround sound speakers connected to it. The speakers work when plugged into the back of the DVD player. Please help. Thank you

I'm reading https://static.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/264171.pdf and the SWA-7000 appears to be for a ht-j5500. Is there some mix and matching going on here?
