Surround Sound on the cheap.

I just thought that every one should know they don't need to spend a fortune to get surround sound.

After seeing a video on how to make surround sound headphones I was inspired to see how cheaply I could set a 5.1 surround sound system for my computer.

What i needed:

Front speakers
Rear speakers
Central speaker/Sub-woofer
5.1 surround sound usb pc card that used 3.5mm jacks

As it just so happened I had three pairs of computer speakers lying around so the only thing I needed to buy was a usb sound card. So I searched on ebay for the cheapest one I could find which was

I remember I had a HTIB (home theater in a box) for $99...

awhile back and it sounded pretty good. I think a HTIB can be had from about $250 now.
