Surround Sound

Help! Purchased a Sony Ht-NT5 sound bar and paired it with a couple of sony SRS-ZR5 bluetooth speakers. The volume on the rear speakers, even when turned up to 10, is pathetically low; have to put my ear up to the speaker to hear it. This problems seems to be common; must have something to do with channeling through a DirectTV box. Does anybody know if other manufacturer's bluetooth surround sound speakers are compatible with the HT-NT5? Sonos perhaps?

No, it does. It recognizes and connects effortlessly, but like I said, the volume is quite low. There seems to be quite a few people who've had the same problem (based on my search). Here's even a site that reviews the sound bar with the speakers: http://www.flatpanelshd.com/review.php?subaction=showfull&id=1475495444. I called Sony customer service twice, but they just aid they're working on it. That's why I'm wondering if other systems might be compatible.

I can't find surround support right now. They answered and from what I read, it's not ready.

Ask flatpanelhd.com how they got it to work in surround modes.

Thanks for your efforts! The system appears to work with DVD, but cable or Directtv? Not so much.

I've read that DirectTV only sends stereo? Is it true?
