I think the Surface could have an edge as it could run VLC Player (that plays almost every file I throw at it.) But the Nexus 9 is pretty nice and is working for you. I worry that changing to the Apple ecosystem may be rough unless you know what I'm alluding to here.
For me, Surface.
I have Nexus 9 now and still working fine. But, it starts showing its age. So I'm looking for replacement.
There are 2 tablets catching my attention now, Surface 3 and iPad 2017. Specifically, the 128 GB Surface 3 and 32 GB iPad 2017.
I use my tablet mainly for media consumption. However, I sometimes use it like a laptop.
I was considering Surface 3 (and Type Cover) until I know that iPad 2017 is cheaper, and that's the dilemma. Even iPad 2017 is still cheaper than Surface 3 without Type Cover.
What do you guys think? Which one should I choose?
PS: I'm living in Indonesia. iPad 2017 in here costs at least USD 375. Meanwhile, Surface 3 is not available, so I look at Amazon, and it costs at least over USD 400 without Type Cover (including all fees and import deposit).
