80mbps for DSL...that's fast (super fast). We could never get that here in the states for DSL conection.
BT came and connected me to superfast broadband yesterday. A laptop connected to the BT modem recorded download speeds of 80 mbps.
So far so good.
He then connected it to my existing ASUS DSL-N55U wireless router which distributes the signal to various wirelessly connected PC's and my own desktop which is connected via homeplug adapters.
Whereas with broadband up to 7 meg service I got 6 meg upstairs on my desktop connected this way, with the superfast the speed has only gone up to 11 meg.
Previously the homeplug adapter near the router was connected to
a 6 gang adapter - not the way you're supposed to I know, but worked well. Now it is connected straight into the wall socket.
I have been unable as yet to get the wireless signal working in the ASUS, but presumably this shouldn't affect the speed I am getting via the homeplug adapter?
