Superbit review part II

Mar 25, 2006 6:44PM PST

For those out of the loop a superbit DVD is an enhancemnt to your standard dvd involving bit rate compression. When these DVD's first came out they were usually around $26 w/ no extras. Since then they have been dicontinued/discounted. For 9.99 you can get any of them at your local BB (if you dont hold to big a grudge against the corp. giants). Long story short they look great, better color, better shading, sharper pic, etc., when compared with their non-superbit counterpart. my first experience was with Spider-man, and Desperado, both better looking with spider-man being the one that really blew me away. Now I have added 4 more: underworld, Spider Man 2, B. Stokers Dracula, and Bad Boys 2. Bad Boys 2 already had won me over with the super high quality camera work, but with superbit this DVD truly rivaled the version I saw on HD-HBO, I know this movie is not for everyones tastes, but strictly as a pic/sound quality you may be hard pressed to find a DVD that pushes your system like this movie, and the price is worth the risk so check it out

No one else even knows theyre on clearence out here. They do not post the special price at all they are just mixed in with the rest of the DVDs, and now that they're 9.99 they are usually cheaper than their counterpart(non-superbit ver.)
How many do you have Stew? I have six of the eight I actually want to own
