I see plenty of nearly new high quality speakers inside my operating budget for a song, comparably, just on craigslist alone. So I don't generally mess with such things if I can avoid it. Your budget/needs/free time may be different enough where you could easily justify it though. YMMV...
My late Father gave me a pair of these speakers,2 x 300mm woofers with a smooth plate like front nearly covering the whole face except for where the foam is missing around the rim, a mid range 45% mounted inside the top behind the 2 tweeters and dials.
They are 4 way,8 ohms,180 watts,30-21000hz,serial no.3595.
The speakers look well made and I was wondering if they are worth refoaming/refurbishing?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
