Question

Sumsung Freedge:Extremely dissapointing.

Jul 31, 2017 9:41PM PDT

We bought Sumsung side-by-side freedge Model RS554NRUASL/SA at 30 -06-2017. Its' freedge section is NOT working well since the first day, its doesn't produce enought cold. Been setted up on +1 degree we have +4.8- 5.9 degrees on the shelfs and trowning out  our deli and dairy supply every week.
We did apply for Sumsung customer service and got ref Number for  the service.
Sumsung subcontractor Southside Electronic send to us service man at 17-07-2017, who did exchange main board and did rec to keep checking internal temperature in the freedge compartment during two or three days to see the result. We did follow this rec and realized nothing is changed to the  better, temperature pattern is the same as before  "service".
Since 17-07-2017 we did try to call to service company but  had contacts with subcontractor's reception's staff only, wich explain us no one else is able to contact us or answer our questions. All that time we did trowned out our food.Calling to Sumsung Customer support was totally useless as they diverted us to subcontractor who, obviously, don't have a clue what troubleshooting is.
Could some one tell us what to do and what should be our next step to get exchange of fault appliance, please.
We are working family with tree school kids and REALLY NEED reliable freedge, not just lovely looking  steel box which took  our money and does "eating" our food supply. What a shame for such respectfull company as Sumsung to have such dodgy service partners and not reliable products. Our previous Sumsung freedge was totally  faultless for 21 years!
Extremely dissapointing.

ThankU James for reply.
It seems no any delivery damage on the freedge... All pipes and stuff are defended by strong back safety wall, which is metall and totally normal.
Delivery people were and acted very professional, fast and accurate.
And, any way, it is NOT customer obligation to fix NEW( 1 Mnt old) freedge and against the warranty cond.
Were and how can we complain, if service company doing nothing and Manufacturer Customer Service just sending us back to this service company once and once again?

According to the consumer rights where I live (The Netherlands) you simply contact the shop where you bought it, claim warranty, and then they either have to fix or give you another one. It's as simple as that.

In fact, if it was bought via the web, I would have had 14 days after delivery to send it back to them and get my money back even if it worked perfectly, so surely if there were issues like this.

Maybe the rules in your country are different?

Look for "lemon" laws where you live. I don't know what's causing the problems at Samsung the past few years, but they've been producing some substandard products, like TV's with cracking screens, the 'stinky refrigerator syndrome', and now you have this problem. Back in VCR days they made some real quality VCR's, I still have one years later that continues to work OK. Quality there now seems to be on long holiday.
