Question

Sumsung Flickering TV LCD picutre

Jul 9, 2015 1:11PM PDT

I have a 2009 Samsung 52 inch LCD TV model LN52540PF8. This picture is flickering. Its starts slow once and a while then when the TV's been on for a while constantly flickers. I have found info on other models for a fix by cutting the JP852 or JP 854 jumper on the power supply board but don't have a jumper number for this TV or know if this will fix the flickering. Anyone have info. Much appreciated.

Answer
In the past Samsung would send out a tech to do that.

But you must call it in and ask for the service. The jumper cut was considered a manufacturing error which they fixed OOW (out of warranty.) Did you call?

Not called a tech as of yet.

Looking for a home repair fix as the TV is off warranty and I'm trying to decide if its worth fixing or to buy a new one. I was hoping someone else has experienced this issue with this model number and could share information.

Thanks.

Then no. Partly due to the unknown model #

The model number didn't come up at Samsung or Google so I have to write no. I didn't ask you to call a tech but Samsung to see if they have a service bulletin on this rather rare model.
