I won't discuss them because I tried too many and came away poorer for the experience. So I'm going to share what I use now.
1. The Logitech Revue.
2. A newer netbook for the NAS.
The newer netbook draws a paltry 6 or 7 Watts with the screen off and I can add USB drives.
I'm looking for some advice on what to go shopping for, currently I want to get an external hard drive (NAS or just one connected to an old desktop) to back up my mothers laptop and mine, but I am also looking to get a digital media reciever so that if I store movies on my hard drive I'll be able to watch them on my TV.
Obviously I'm hoping to do everything wirelessly, however I realize this may possibly be a ridiculous request but any information is appreciated.
I'm not really sure whats the best way to go about doing it, although I've been considering the Western Digital WD TV Live Hub and getting a wireless adapter for it but I'm not sure if this is the best way to do it.
Extra info: Laptops don't have WIDI and it's not a smart TV
Suggestions are much appreciated
