Although clients' Tech Support people laugh because my laptop is so old, I haven't replaced it because I don't know what to buy. I travel a lot, so weight is a big factor. As a consultant, I often use my laptop all day, and I'm a boomer, so small screens are hard for me to read.
I use Office and other basic functions (email, surfing, personal photos), connect to clients' networks directly and via VPN, often need to compare two documents side by side and don't really spend a lot of time gaming. I'd like to spend $1500 or less, if possible.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Also, I don't want to use Vista. A friend said that downgrading is possible. Is that true?
