suggestions for a camcorder?

Jun 12, 2005 9:48AM PDT

hi! I'm looking around for a digital camcorder for a birthday gift for my boyfriend. I believe he will just be using it to tape just everyday events and occasions, nothing extreme. My price range is $400 and under, but preferably around $300. I know it doesn't give me a big selection, but does anyone know which camcorders would be best for my money? thanks for your help! =)

Check www.dvspot.com

Hello,
My friend, www.dvspot.com has great reviews, much better than the basic stuff you get here at CNET. I trusted dvspot with recommending me a digital camera and I can highly recommend the site.
Quickly, since your budget is limited I would suggest the Canon Elura 80. It can be found for under $400 and is a great camera. If that is too much I suggest the Canon ZR series. The Canon ZR 200 offers still picture as well as video, something that I'm sure he'll use. It should be closer to $300.
Hope this helps
Enjoy
