The HP wins on GPU and CPU but loses because of the company. HP did not honor the warranty on a 3 month old new laptop and 6 months of calls and more finally got the message this company is not what it used to be. For that I can't recommend that maker.
No to the bottleneck issue. It's not there. Here's a quote from Toms:
"Our tests demonstrate fairly little difference between a $225 LGA 1155 Core i5-2500K and a $1000 LGA 2011 Core i7-3960X, even when three-way graphics card configurations are involved. It turns out that memory bandwidth and PCIe throughput don't hold back the performance of existing Sandy Bridge-based machines. "

Hi
Please suggest what laptop should i choose between 2 mentioned below:
My main purpose will be gaming. Games like GTA V, Watch Dogs....
1. HP ENVY Notebook - 15-k201tx:
i5-5200U Processor
8 GB DDR3 RAM
GTX 850m 4 GB video memory DDR3
2. Lenovo z50 59-429602
i7-4510U Processor
8 GB DDR3 RAM
GeForce 840m 4GB video memory DDR3
Should i go for better GPU but i5 processor
or average GPU with i7 processor?
will 850m GPUs performance be bottlenecked by i5 processor?
Also which laptop will be able to run GTA V with all settings max and resolution 1080p
