sudo "well actually" (sorry) Tom

You know how some things bug you. Well you got me, I have no idea why as I have been listening for ages. so here goes

sudo. You do not log in using a root password. As you know you log in using your password which give you access to the sudo command list allowed to you. So it is not root. If you want root you would need 'sudo su'.

God I cannot believe I am typing this.. am I a secret "well actually" type of person. I really do not like "well actually" type of people.

Sorry Tom... we can't have sudo being mis-understood. Wink

Now I feel bad

In reply to: Rookie mistake

You see, now I feel bad for mentioning it. That will teach me to come off the tube and hit the forums.

Have an amazing day
