Question

Suddenly I can't launch Excel for MAC

Oct 2, 2011 8:58PM PDT

I have a iMAC 2.8Ghz, 500GB HD of which 8.9Gb are free.
I continuously use Excel MAC2008 and I never had problems. This morning, I started the computer but Excel refuses to load and I get a very concise message: "not enough memory"
Nothing has changed since last night and there are nearly 9 GB of free space, so I don't know what to do.
Has anybody experienced the same problem? I would appreciate any help.
Thank you in advance

It is recommended to have at least 15% free space for the computer to work flawlessly. What is the OS version and how much RAM is installed? The message may be quite legitimate. But as the Mod suggests, such messages could be cleared by restart. The OP should consider at least an external HD to remove a lot of non-essential data from the main HD (like 50 GB).
