Such a random screen problem, please help!!!

Jul 4, 2009 3:03PM PDT

So my computer was sitting for a couple months after i finished school. Decided to do a clean install and formatted my hard drive and tried to re-install vista. to my surprise from the beginning of the boot screen the screen shows 6 identical screens (view picture). I installed vista perfectly everything is working but the screen looks like this:

Please help me, any help would greatly be appreciated.

Is that a HP?

HP has a series of GPUs that fail like that. You replace the motherboard since the GPU can't be changed.

Does UBUNTU do that too?

As a test, just boot up UBUNTU since we don't need to install UBUNTU but run it off the CD for a test.

Testing tells us if there is some other issue like you are not using the maker's restore media.
