Keep in mind the sub is supposed to take over where your speakers stop.
I am pretty tech-saavy, but not when it comes to audio frequencies. I need help in understanding my proper crossover settings. I have a 7.1 configuration..
Speakers: JBL SCS200.7 (small satellites)
110 Hz - 20 kHz (-6db)
*Center Speaker: 100 Hz - 20 kHz
Subwoofer: 8" powered
35 Hz - 160 Hz
Overall System Freq respons: 35 Hz - 20 kHz
I am using a Harman/Kardon AVR635, which has auto-calibration, and allows for individual crossovers to be set for each speaker. The JBL manual suggests a crossover of 120 for the subwoofer (the H/K auto-setup also chose this setting for me). My question is, what should the individual satellites be set at. The receiver is setting them all at 150. I just want to know if that all sounds correct, because I seemed to have better results at setting delay (distances) manually. I plan to calibrate everything myself with a meter, and wanted input on all the other crossover settings (if I keep the sub set at 120)
