Stupid question: Is bluetooth more vulnerable to hackers?

Aug 15, 2005 11:39AM PDT

I've never had a bluetooth phone. I'm thinking of either Motorola v620 or v551. When you use a wireless headset are you alot more vulnerable to hackers? Can they get your phone number, etc or just listen in?

Thanks,
Rita

I do not know whether or not bluetooth makes your phone vulnerable to hackers but it does make your phone vulnerable to viruses that it can pick up from computers and other devices you might connect it to. Trust me, I know from first hand experience.

If you don't hook onto a computer but simply use the headset are you more vulnerable to people listening in?
