Studio 17 I-7 Tapping Sound when web surfing

Nov 11, 2010 11:05PM PST

Am having an annoying tapping sound whenever I navigate from one site to another. Sounds like a slight tap of a tin cup. Ran system diagnostics and all is fine. Does not occur when opening docs on word, excel. etc. Before going to Dell Software Support, thought I would run this by the forum. Only had the system for 4 months and agree with other owners; the fan runs more often then not. Thanks

Mute the speakers and see if this is the usual IE navigation click.

Yes, indeed. That silenced it...... is there an adjustment in IE that I need to adjust or just keep the speaker on Mute? Thanks for the clue

Thanks for trying the simple (?) test.

How do I silence Internet Explorer's Navigation Click?
