Question

Struggling to locate and decide on a payroll software....

by julesking1992 / May 14, 2011 11:30 AM PDT

I am trying to find both a payroll and accounting software that is user friendly, and geared toward smaller businesses. I am offering payroll services in my area and had originally thought Quickbooks accountant was my choice due to the fact it allows you to add multiple companies books & is widely used in today's smaller businesses, but I learned that with that version of Quickbooks, it is manditory to maintain an online Payroll account with them, as opposed to processing and managing all aspects of payroll on your own?? Now I feel as though I am back to square one. Can anyone assist by suggesting an affordable payroll and accounting software that suits anywhere from 1 to 50 companies? Also, has anyone ever used Payroll Mate?

Thanks...Julie

Brio has launched Efficacy Attendance And Payroll Software. This application is on cloud and is available to its customers on SaaS Model. Customers do not have to make an up front investment but pay Brio on monthly subscription basis. No vendor locking.

Efficacy Attendance And Payroll is a Cloud application based on the Software as a Service (SaaS) model. It is accessible to customers 24 x 7 through the internet. Organizations can start using the application straight away without any upfront CAPEX investment in hardware, software, or personnel. Updates, upgrades, and bug fixes are rolled out automatically without disrupting your work schedule. You save money, time, effort, and resources - all of which can be diverted towards core business functions. And there's no question of vendor locking as you can easily make a switchover if Efficacy Attendance And Payroll Software does not meet your expectations.

Quickbooks Enhanced payroll software
by lukeloescher / June 27, 2011 11:07 AM PDT

I did some research and it looks like the quickbooks payroll enhanced module only requires you to have an Internet connection so it can download tax info. The rest of the payroll is completely integrated into quickbooks itself. The addon is not that expensive to purchase, however it is subscription based billed annually. Check out my blog at qbadmin.blogpsot.com for more information on Quickbooks and other IT related issues.
