Resolved Question

Stretching screen saver photos

Jan 18, 2014 5:16AM PST

In XP, I was able to have my screen saver photos fill the screen. In 8.1, the setting for the screen saver (under personalize) doesn't include this option. I would like to be able to "stretch" my photos so I can see them across the room. Is there a hidden way to do this?

It's a bug.

If you see what I see, when you click on "How can I customize my screen saver?" Microsoft takes you to the themes help instead.

This is an incomplete botched in some area OS. While I think they did some things well, it's like DisneyLand with parts under construction or missing.

My answer is, go get another screen saver.

Huh?

I doubt anyone will see this, but I thought I'd reply just in case. I can't figure out how on earth I would get another screensaver. (In case this makes a difference, I switched to Windows8.1 Classic.) You guys both make it sound like it's really easy, but I'm completely lost.

Why not use a photo editing program to make it the same dimensions (pixels height and width) as your screen, and then use it in your screen saver?

Thank you for your response to my question. If it were just a few photos, I could consider this, but I have hundreds. The number precludes editting each one. but thank you.
