That's what I found out over the past years. For me I moved from box to box, stick to stick and what I have now is a collection. In no order this is what's on the big screen TV.
Amazon Fire TV (the new 4K one), Chromecast, WDTV Live, Intel NUC, Sony Vaio from 2009.
The entire system is a mess IMO but between one of the devices I have there, it works.
I have connected my M8 Android HTC Smartphone via HTML cable to my Samsung UN60JU TV and streamed Netfflix and Youtube video fine.
But now my library came up with Hoopla and that seems to be a different cat. I can play the movies fine on the M8 and yesterday I was streaming to TV with sound but no video and today I have neither. I did reset my Apps. But if I set my phone to Miracast I do get captions and sound but no video.
I am confused as Hoopla talks about Widevine in their help and Chrome Browser. I have the latest Chrome installed but I am lost as to whether I have Widevine or not.
I need to start from this point and get some education on Hoopla, Widevine and Chrome and their interaction.
I try help on Hoopla but their system seems that people on libraries answer and they are not too knowledgeable about steaming.
I have googled all this stuff and still am lost on how to get the Hoopla to stream to my TV.
