The one thing you learn is that smart TV WiFi range is much shorter than a common laptop.
We have a Samsung UN46H5203. Earlier in this forum I posted about problems with Acorn-TV. A change in DNS settings to 4.2.2.1 removed a "Check Network Settings Message, but since then reception has been spotty and frozen screens result. Today I tried to watch a 19 minute video on YouTube and had the same problem. However both YouTube and Acorn work fine when a laptop sitting beside the TV is connected using the HDMI port.
My conclusion is that, as nice as it appears, the SmartHub apps tend to be often truncated and frozen screens result. HD streaming may be part of this, but it appears this TV is not as "Smart" as was advertised. All software and the modem are up to date and we have 15 MBs/sec download. Due to a wall between it is not practical to connect the TV directly to the modem with a long HDMI cable. The laptop receives the signal wirelessly the same way and the 15 MB speed is maintained beside the TV.
Therefore the wireless connection as entered on the TV is not as strong as a laptop PC.
