Streaming Netflix through Laptop to HDTV

Nov 11, 2009 4:17AM PST

I am shopping for a laptop and one thing I was considering is buying a laptop with and HDMI port so I can connect through my laptop to my HDTV to watch movies streaming on Netflix. I wanted to know what the quality is when using this set up and if you get the lip synch problem. I have searched around the web and forums and haven't found much. Does anyone have experience or information on this topic? Thanks.

Just like you read all over, LIP SYNC and digitizing errors mean it's less than what you get from blu ray or even DVD play.

Since that's been discussed some thousand times or more, I'll just share that it works poorly today. And no, I don't want to start another discussion about what's wrong.

No offense intended but let's use what we learned in other discussions.
