Streaming media, audio but no video

by mrjlamont / September 13, 2007 4:28 PM PDT

I have the latest Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player, but I still cannot view streaming media. I can hear the audio perfectly, but I cannot view it. What's the problem? Is it something with the registry?

Could be an unsupported OS?
by R. Proffitt Forum moderator / September 13, 2007 11:20 PM PDT

Your post told so little that my first guess is that you have some unsupported combo of OS and WMP. No example site either.

In the future be sure to follow those words in red so the first reply is not "Tell it all."

Hello folks,

I am trying to watch streams online for WWW.NHL.TV. I have the audio, but no video. It is not being viewed through WMP10, but on the website itself. I have downloaded some codec packs, and it still has not seemed to help. I've downloaded the latest FLASH 9 as suggested, still no good.

I've been trying to find some info on the net about this but no avail. Sites Such as YOUTUBE work without a problem, but the live streams for this site just wont go through. Any insight into this problem would be great, as im really getting frustrated.
