Resolved Question

Streaming Device for my TV (Roku Problem)

Dec 29, 2011 1:21PM PST

I just bought a Roku so that I could watch Hulu Plus and Netflix on my TV without tying up my computer. After it's all installed I found out that Roku doesn't have the rights to stream content from the ScyFy channel and FX, which broadcast most of the stuff I watch. I can only stream it from an actual computer.
Is there a way around this or is there some device around the same price range as a Roku that will appear as a computer?

Thanks

I didn't try those channels but found it to be far more capable than my Roku (which was gifted to my brother.)

The Revue won't do the job.

When I want to watch HULU.COM, I hook up the laptop.

So far, nothing in the 99 buck range does HULU.COM
