by Skeptic215 / July 1, 2013 3:00 AM PDT

Is it possible to stream Amazon Prime video content to my LN46B630? I have a strong home wireless network, and i can run an ethernet cable to the TV if necessary.
if i can do this, are there any devices or steps i need to follow? do i have to install software on the TV? thanks.

Is there some Amazon app for this?

I use a Kindle Fire HD for this as my TV doesn't have the app.

Hi Skeptic215,

Thanks for your question! I understand the appeal of having Amazon Prime, but there's nothing you can do to upgrade the TV itself. However, there are a number of 3rd-party devices that support just an apps platform.

Can you recommend a few third party devices that will work best for my TV?

In reply to: recommendations?

Hi Skeptic215,

I can't recommend any device that just adds apps, due to my role. If you want a Samsung product, the BD-F5900 and the BD-F7500 support the Amazon Instant Video app. If you want the complete listing, here's the Amazon Instant Video app's compatible devices page: http://www.samsung.com/us/appstore/app/G00009411006-compatible#Bluray Players
