Strange: When I ADV.Search For My

Sep 16, 2008 2:54PM PDT

previous post from "yesterday or "last seven days" etc, I receive this on first page displayed:
"Total posts found: 23 (Showing page 1 of 3)".

The first page is usually 10 or 12 of MY posts, but when I click on page 2 or 3, I see just random posts from all over the different forums (some forums I didn't even know existed let alone ever posted to).

I do not find my remaining 10 or 13 or what ever whatever. Have seen this for a week or two when there are more than one page returned.

Others seeing this also? Ideas? Thanks! Sandy Grin

P.S. When I logged in tonight everything went just fine for the first time in awhile. Yahoo!!! S Grin

copy & pasting the url you gave to browser and indeed it showed 25 items
(last 7 days)ALL on front page. Functional work around!! Having some difficulties since the URL is too long to be displayed in full in address bar, can only C&P. I might try altering the bookmarks url & see if that helps.

Is this a site bug on search engine that's being fixed bit by bit or is this specific to me/my machine/browser?? Thanks for replies!! Sandy Grin

Another method

If you do an Advanced Search then

highlight the url

move the mouse over the url

Scroll to the end of the url (hits=)

Edit the numbers at the end to 100, 200 ?

Hit Enter

Thanks, JP Bill. Because I can't reach..

end of URL in address bar, I can't alt the last #'s. That's why I have to copy>>alter>>then paste back to browser addie bar. One would think we were trying for a buffer overflow via overly long URLs!! Grin Wink

Re: reach the end of the URL

left click the address window/bar(it turns blue)
left click it again (you'll see the cursor blinking)
click End on the Num Pad (you'll see the number of hits per page)
click backspace and delete the '10'
enter the number you want

That "click End on the Num Pad (you'll see the number of hits per page)" is not on the Number pad, but is the End key on the page navigation keys, ie Home-End-Insert-Page up-Delete-Page down.

But otherwise, I agree. Happy

to use End key in Nav group rather than on numpad (in Sea Monkey).
When tried for the month showed 79 posts so I reset for "80" and got all 79 on front page. Good enough, since all additional pages (#2 on up) were random posts by others. Thanks again! Sandy Grin
