Strange Self boot

Oct 4, 2004 8:48AM PDT

Hello U out there.

I have a PC with a MB Shuttle MB, Athalon AMD 2.2, 512MB DDR RAM. Video Card chipset Nvidia Geforce4 64MG DDR.

When I turn on the PC and start surfing in the internet, the monitor start to flick, pause... the image granulate in some located spots. The process is accelarated when I go directy lo play an action video game (such as Quake II). The PC sel-boot.

The weird thing is that, once the computer self boot, the problem stops until next day when I turn on again the PC.

A couple of times a blue screen shows up indicating an error "not_equal_or_less" IRQL, uploading memory.

Any hints? Should I re-install the OS (2000Pro)?

Thanks.

Time to open it up and look for capacitors with DOMED tops and leaking fluid.

Hmmmm, looks like a driver or memory issue. Check if all drivers are up to date, and can you recall what changes you made prior to this issue, and try and undo that change. Usually the less equal, ends up to be a memory problem caused by bad memory (not within specs) or over clocking the computer..
