that the graphics card is the culprit. Have them replace it and re-test with your monitor (new one).
and life goes on...

this is a strange problem, not sure where i should post it.
we have got a packard bell pc, 'bout a month ago the flat screen monitor died (it came with the pc as a package) i had noticed about three weeks in the run up to it dying completly that it would have black moments (let me explain) every so often the monitor would go black for a few seconds, no rhyme nor reason, no pattern. then one morning it just wouldn't show anything.
the pc was fine, swapped out the 'black' monitor with my old monitor (not flat screen) and we used it ok (although the monitor being old the colours were messed up) we could use the pc at least until we bought a new flat screen a few weeks ago. (LG)
noticed in the first week of getting this another 'black moment' on this new monitor, had about three others and just had two others just noe with in about ten minutes
has anyone ever heard of this on flat screens, do you think it could be the pc thats at fault. what else could it be ???
we have never had any problems with the pc at all, don't really want to fork out for another monitor (although this one will still be under warranty) as an aside, when this new monitor had it black moment in the first week, i swapped it out and thought i would try the old flat screen AGAIN, but no change, it was still black, no picture showing. so i was sure that that monitor is broke.
jsut don't understand why this new monitor is doing this
