Strange message from Yahoo-anybody else get one?

Feb 19, 2004 11:03AM PST

Got this e-mail in my Yahoo maibox saying my mail would be blocked in 19 da if I did not "sign ON_Yahoo_white List" It sent me to another page that had a click here to sign up button which I did not do. Both pages were strange with a mix of capital & small print @ _ symbols, garbled words and mispelling. Can't believe it's really Yahoo but have not heard of any worm-virus etc. like this HELP

Yahoo doesn't seem to get too concerned about such things even when their name is involved. I repoprted one of the bogus MS emails and they could have cared less.

I got this one as well. TG for Norton Anti-Virus, "Scan Results: Virus - "W32.Mimail.l@mm " was found. Norton automatically scans all incomming mail and if set up , will advise to quarenteen , which i did. The origional message was addressed to "PayPal members" thru Yahoo. It also asked not to reply ( Big Red Flag), but to click on the attachment. I've goten to look at the senders name before opening anything. Again, if you don't know who they are "DUMP IT", keep windows update, and your Anti-Virus. Which I had just done when I went on line, moments before. Think Safe. Happy
